THE PERFECT BITE & SIP

The Perfect Bite/Sip

Brooklyn, NY | Dine Black-Owned in Brooklyn

Bedford Hall (Bedstuy) - Neighborhood bar that has a great ambiance and pretty decent happy hour w/ good bar bites.  Definitely, a local spot and often has random entertainment (burlesque shows & concerts) on select nights.

Bed-Vyne Cocktail
(Bedstuy) - It's name is just what it is:  Intimate bar w/ no tv's, an extensive cocktail list and a nice patio area in the back. Perfect for catching up with friends on a random weeknight, as it's always super packed on the weekends after 10pm. Cocktails on avg. are about $10 & up.

Peaches Hothouse
(Bedstuy)-  Known for their brunch, you must get there early because it always packed on the weekends. The "Jim Cade" (Chicken and French toast) never disappoints! Reasonably priced, menu items range from $10-20.

Sally Roots (Bushwick) - Neighborhood bar+restaurant that serves Caribbean cuisine is by far a go to when in Brooklyn! All the cocktails feature freshly squeezed juices and the service is always great! Kinda makes you feel like you're at home. The food is on another level; favorites of mine include the braised curried chicken bowl; the kale and arugula salad; and the cod fish cakes  (Price range $10-17) Favorite drinks include: Rude Boy; catch a fire; and evening tide (all $11).

Sweet Science (East Williamsburg) - This is where you go for comfort food! From shrimp & grits; fried chicken; and baby back ribs, you'll leave full & happy! The bartenders here are great as well. Extremely engaging and very knowledgeable. Simply tell them what you want your drink to taste like and they'll create it. The most expensive item on the dinner menu is only $20 and drinks range from $7-15.

Bleachers Sports Bar & Grill (Park Slope) - True to the name, they actually have bleachers that you can sit on to watch the game.  With tv's all over, this is the place to go to watch all the big games and fights. Traditional bar, the wings are always a go to and the happy hour is awesome with specials starting at $5.

333 Lounge (Prospect heights) - THE Friday Happy H0ur Turn-Up! Live DJ playing Hip-Hop, Soca, and reggae you'll def enjoy yourself sipping the rum punch special. Menu isn't extensive but is does the job to coat your stomach from the drinking you'll do. Items include spring rolls, wings, fries, and sliders. Definitely a summer time Friday staple and never disappoints.
