Apple Picking Fun in the MidWest

About an hour away from Chicago proper is a farm County Line Orchard with a reputation for having some of the best apples in the area that are just ready to be picked(during the fall season) and donuts. The perfect place for a family outing, girls day, or a cute date, there is something for everyone at the County Line Orchard.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • Parking is free, however, it can get a bit crowded so be prepared to put your patience to the test
  • The donuts are to die for so do whatever it takes to get some
  • There are several options of things to do at the Orchard such as shopping for baked goods, jams, trinkets and things, a corn maze, zoo, an apple picking to name a few.
  • The apple picking season is not very long so by mid October the trees in the front may be picked over. Don’t fret, get in some extra steps and head to the trees towards the back of the fields and waiting for you will be apples with you name on them.
